Part 1: Pioneers
On April 19, 2013, Duke University School of Medicine celebrated the 50-year anniversary of African Americans at the school with a special event titled, "Faces of Change." The dinner celebration featured three videos. In "Part 1: Pioneers," you'll hear from from Duke's very first African American male and female faculty members and medical students, including Duke Psychiatry's Dr. Jean Spaulding, and the difficult challenges they faced paving the way for others to follow.
