Global Business Outlook Survey - June 2012
In contrast to last week’s Bureau of Labor Statistics report, which reported an increase in the unemployment rate in May, chief financial officers expect hiring to remain strong in the U.S. over the next year.This finding is included in the most recent Duke University/CFO Magazine Global Business Outlook survey. The quarterly survey, which concluded May 30, asked more than 800 CFOs from a broad range of global public and private companies about their expectations for the economy.
The survey has been conducted for 65 consecutive quarters, and spans the U.S., Asia, Europe and Latin America, making it the world’s longest running and most comprehensive research on senior finance executives. http://cfosurvey.org/

Martin Fisher, KickStart's inspiring CEO and Co-Founder, accepted the award and delivered the 2012 ESI Lecture at Duke's Fuqua School on April 19, 2012.KickStart develops and promotes technologies that can be used by entrepreneurs to establish and run profitable small scale enterprises and help families improve their economic status. As of February 2012, KickStart has helped create 128,400 enterprises in Africa, sold 198,292 irrigation pumps to farmers and moved 641,800 people out of poverty.
