The 2013 ADF Season will feature 47 performances by 25 companies and choreographers, including 11 company debuts, 9 ADF commissioned world premieres, 2 reconstructed classic works, and 1 US premiere. Tickets go on sale May 13, 2013 and will be available at www.americandancefestival.org. In research news, a study by Duke economist Patrick Bayer finds Black and Hispanic homebuyers pay 3 percent more on average for comparable homes than whites.

The new "Sports and Society" online course kicks off on April 30. The Duke-Coursera class takes a look at the world of sports through the lens of anthropology.

Graduation is May 12. Philanthropist and Duke alumna Melinda French Gates is the commencement speaker. And the most senior, senior who will be graduating is octogenarian Robert Becker.

The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University presents this video interview with artist Wangechi Mutu as part of her residency at Duke, timed for the opening of "Wangechi Mutu: A Fantastic Journey." The Nasher Museum organized the exhibition, Wangechi Mutu's first survey in the United States, the most comprehensive and innovative show yet for this internationally renowned, multidisciplinary artist. The Nasher Museum is the first venue for the touring exhibition, on view at Duke March 21 - July 21, 2013. "Wangechi Mutu: A Fantastic Journey" will be on view at the Brooklyn Museum of Art in September 2013, the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami in April 2014 and the Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art at Northwestern University in September 2014.
