Duke Center Tackles Obesity with Healthy Lifestyle (WRAL)
Howard Eisenson, M.D., executive director of the Duke Diet and Fitness Center, commented on research suggesting that there has been no significant change in the prevalence of obesity in the country. "We've been fairly successful in the U.S. with turning back the tide of smoking, but it's taken a long time to do it. It's taken some creative solutions. It's the same with obesity and low fitness," Eisenson said.

"It's not a drug, it doesn't have any side effects, but it does distract children just like sedation or anesthesia would," Kurtzberg said.
