New Employee Discount at Duke Lemur Center
Duke employees now receive a discounted rate for the 60-minute "Lemurs Live!" tour that allows visitors to see a variety of species in person and learn about each. Tours are given throughout the entire year.Faculty and staff receive pay $8 (originally $10) by showing their DukeCard at the front desk upon arrival. The "Lemurs Live!" tour is offered year-round Monday to Saturday. Reservations must be made in advance by calling (919) 401-7240.

Chopper Cam
A crew from a national television network visited Duke's campus on Sept. 8, 2011 to get some beauty shots for an upcoming special. They were using a remote-controlled mini-helicopter carrying an SLR camera set to video mode. The camera wirelessly transmitted its spectacular view of Campus Drive to a monitor for recording while we watched.Published 1 year ago

2011 Employee Kick-Off Celebration
Duke football fans flocked to Wallace Wade Stadium to see the Blue Devils play the University of Richmond Sept. 3 as part of the annual Employee Kick-Off event.Wallace Wade hosted about 33,000 fans for the home opener.
