2013 ADF Season Highlight Reel

The 2013 ADF Season will feature 47 performances by 25 companies and choreographers, including 11 company debuts, 9 ADF commissioned world premieres, 2 reconstructed classic works, and 1 US premiere. Flamenco: Intangible Cultural Heritage

Designated "the Keeper of Flamenco" by Dance magazine, Carlota Santana made the best of the carpeted floors Wednesday at the Franklin Center.

This video documents a collaboration between the Alban Elved Dance Company and the Duke Information Spaces Project (DISP, Dr. David Brady, PI; Stever Feller, project director) in conjunction with the Information Science + Information Studies (ISIS) program and Duke Institute for the Arts. The project resulted in a series of performances and a conference held at Duke University in February, 2002.

Workin' with defMo at campus construction site

Defining Movement (defMo) is a multicultural student dance troupe which focuses on a variety of dance styles. In this video, "Werq9," defMo performs on the construction site at the new Keohane 4E residence hall on West Campus. The project was a collaboration between defMo and Freewater Productions. Gitagovinda (the Song of Divine Love) in Odissi dance

Odissi is one of the classical dances of India. Visiting guest artist and distinguished Odissi dancer from India, Ms. Sujata Mohapatra was in residence at Duke from Oct. 18-Nov. 21, 2010. The Odissi Dance Residency by Sujata Mohapatra is made possible in part by a Visiting Artist Grant from the Council of the Arts, Office of the Provost; Dance Program; Department of Religion and the Asian and Middle Eastern Studies Program at Duke University.
