Acting Across Borders: Celebrating the Meredith Tax Papers
The symposium "Acting Across Borders: Celebrating the Meredith Tax Papers" was held April 13-14, 2012, by the Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture. A writer and political activist since the late 1960s, Meredith Tax has founded or co-founded a series of feminist and social justice organizations starting with Bread and Roses, an early socialist-feminist group in Boston. This video is from the keynote address of the conference on Friday afternoon, April 13, 2012 with talks by Meredith Tax and by radical African feminist, sociologist, writer, educator, and publisher Patricia McFadden.http://library.duke.edu/rubenstein/bingham/borders/index.html

Perkinsense: A New Way to Find Study Rooms
Matt Ball, Pratt '10, worked with Duke staff from the Office of Information Technology and Perkins Library to install Perkinsense, a heat-detection module that allows the Duke community to find out if a study room is open in Perkins or Bostock libraries. Duke Virtual Tour- Perkins Library
Duke Virtual Tour- 5 of 8. This Duke Virtual Tour was created by Duke students Emily Poplawski, Zach Lerner, Meg Tobin, and Lacey Kim, for their Information Science + Information Studies Certificate Research Capstone in Spring of 2010. Buildings seen in the tour were crafted using Google Earth Sketch Up and are available for download on the Tour page. The intent of the tour is to do justice to Duke's beautiful campus by presenting an online tour, which circles the gothic turrets and flies through the arches. Featuring music from Duke artists and bands, the Duke Virtual Tour begins on East Campus - with its stunning Gregorian architecture and transitions to West Campus - nicknamed the Gothic Wonderland.
