Jane Goodall Visits Duke University

Renowned researcher Jane Goodall, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and a UN Messenger of Peace, and Anne Pusey, chair of evolutionary anthropology at Duke University, announced on Monday, March 28, 2011 that the Jane Goodall Archive will be housed at Duke University. The archive, which is an irreplaceable, 50-year collection of data about chimpanzee behavior in the wild, will be curated and digitized by researchers at the university. Duke has established a new research center to house and manage the archive, which is owned by the Jane Goodall Institute of Arlington, Va. Duke Tennis Profile: Reid Carleton

A native of Naples, Fla., Reid Carleton has etched his name in the Duke record books over the last two years. He currently ranks in the top 10 for career singles and doubles wins. He is tied for 10th with 93 singles victories and is one of five players in school history with 100 or more doubles wins, ranking fourth with 106 victories. He is one of only three players at Duke to rack up 30 or more doubles victories in two seasons and has been ranked as high as No. 1 in each of the last two years with Henrique Cunha. He also has reached a career-high ranking of No. 5 in singles this season.

Navigating the Health Care System as an Unfunded Patient: Perspectives from Durham's Trenches

Interdisciplinary expert panelists provide insight into the roles that lawyers and other professionals play in securing health care for Durham's most at-risk populations, including immigrants, victims of domestic violence, homeless people, HIV-positive patients, and inmates.
