Jennifer Doyle is Associate Professor of English at the University of California-Riverside. She is the author Sex Objects: Art and the Dialectics of Desire (University of Minnesota Press, 2006) and Hold It Against Me: Difficulty and Emotion in Contemporary Art (forthcoming from Duke University Press).
